The Constitutional Court of Berlin: A Case Study

  • Werner Reutter

摘要

A case study of the Constitutional Court of the State of Berlin elucidates the functioning of such a court, the influence it can exert, and its potential contribution to the political order in general. The Constitutional Court of the State of Berlin is frequently called upon and receives more cases each year than most other state constitutional courts. Nevertheless, this court is particularly suited to illustrating the different functions state constitutional courts perform. The findings indicate that the Berlin Constitutional Court has assumed a variety of roles.
