Medically Important Arachnida and Crustacea
摘要
In this chapter, class Arachnida and class Crustacea are described with examples for each. Examples of the medically important mites, ticks, scorpions, spiders, and Cyclops are discussed. The effects of these arthropods on human health are discussed. Their role as vectors of human pathogens or as causative agents is briefed. A concise description of their morphology, bionomics, and their roles in disease transmission are addressed. Additionally, the clinical aspects of scabies and house dust mites are discussed in detail.
