  • Khaled ElShewy

摘要

In this chapter, the medically important arthropods, class Insecta, are described with examples for each insect. Mosquitoes, flies, fleas, lice, and bugs are addressed. Examples of the most medically important mosquitoes, flies, fleas, and lice are discussed as vectors of human pathogens. A concise description of their morphology and bionomics is mentioned. The effects of these insects on human health, whether direct or indirect, are discussed. Diseases transmitted or caused by these insects are enumerated. Additionally, the clinical forms, causative flies, and the management of myiasis are discussed in detail.
