Over the past several years, the popularity of ESGESG has dissipated. ESGESG advocacy has generated significant criticism from conservative pundits and politicians who view it as Trojan Horse for the advancement of liberal political objectives. In the first nine months of 2023, investors pulled more than $14 billion from ESGESG funds, with the third quarter of 2023 representing the first time more sustainable funds liquidated or removed ESGESG criteria from their investment practices than were added.
