Lebanese Strategic Leadership During Covid-19

Following the evaluation of the effectiveness of governance during the Covid-19 crisis, this chapter examines the strategies of political communication of Lebanese crisis leaders before moving toward the final evaluation of strategic crisis leadership in accordance with Boin, ‘t Hart, Stern, and Sundelius’ theoretical framework (2016). With the aid of the Discourse-Historical Approach to examine the official declarations of the Ministry of Public Health and Hezbollah, it was possible to highlight their communication strategies and especially their weaknesses. Finally, the second part of the chapter is dedicated to the examination of the Lebanese strategic leadership, reflecting on the results of the analysis and on Lebanese crisis management perspectives.
