In Young Children, Made Quick and Simple
摘要
Many young children fear MRI. A psychological preparation may be useful. The time of examination must be as short as possible and the sequences reduced to a minimum. Venous puncture which is always feared by the young patient can be frequently spared as well as gadolinium injection. In the most difficult cases, the information obtained from the localizer must not be neglected. In a child with precocious puberty or with growth retardation, a sagittal T1W MRI can be enough if the patient does not accept a complete examination. The resort to general anesthesia must be exceptional.
