General Radiology Beginnings: Penetration
摘要
Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen’s discovery of penetrating X rays on November 8, 1895, quickly became known, and his experiments replicated around the world. The new ray would revolutionize medical practice. Multiple technical innovations were made by scientists and entrepreneurs from many countries including Thomas Edison. Some of these innovations helped to decrease the dark side effects of exposure to X rays, i.e., radiation injury in the form of burns and cancers.
