摘要

The treatment of cartilage damage to the knee joint is a challenge from both clinical and economic perspectives. This chapter describes in detail all the techniques of modern cartilage reconstructive surgery that have proven themselves in the hands of the authors: arthroscopic microfracture, autologous matrix-induced chondrogenesis (AMIC), different variants of matrix-associated chondrocyte transplantation (MACT) as well as the arthroscopic cartilage biopsy required for this, including osteochondral autologous transplantation, Mega-OATS procedure and cancellous bone plastic with MACT (“sandwich technique”).
