Secure Quick Response Using PYTHON with GUI

摘要

The pandemic changed a lot in the world like working from home, contactless consultation from doctors, contactless home deliveries, contactless payments etc. In this sudden shift, the Quick Response (QR) code has appeared as a very useful tool for storing and sharing data. Usage of QR code technology has grown tremendously in the last decade and with smartphones being available at such cheap prices it is expected to grow more in coming years. Further, as data is increasing in size exponentially we need better storage techniques and QR codes may be the one. A quick response code is a two-dimensional barcode which has the ability to store different data that can be accessed simply by scanning it through a compatible device. This paper presents an insight into QR Code technology and its structure. The paper also demonstrates a method on how to generate QR codes with the help of the Python programming language. PYQR library is used to encode text into QR codes. The future scope of QR code usability in the upcoming time has also been discussed.
