A New Recovery-Oriented Treatment Model for Treatment-Resistant Schizophrenia. A Greek Model (RECOVERYTRSGR)

A new recovery-oriented model for treatment-resistant schizophrenia (RECOVERYTRSGR) from Greece will be presented. This model contains an introductory phase in which evidence-based pharmacotherapy and psychoeducation are implemented. The second phase, in which evidence-based pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy (cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy and rehabilitation) will be implemented, and a third phase (epilogue), in which the recovery process is evaluated. People who suffer from TRS and their families actively participate in this procedure. RECOVERYTRSGR is delivered by experienced clinical psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, and cognitive-behavioral psychotherapists.
