Wave Source Localization Among Multiple Knife-Edges

  • Mikhail S. Lytaev

摘要

The problem of localizing a monochromatic source in a two-dimensional unbounded environment is considered. The environment contains arbitrarily positioned thin vertical obstacles (knife-edges), leading to diffraction effects and multiple reflections. The problem is formulated using the method of adjoint equations. Two most commonly used types of the matched field processing (MFP) method are analyzed: Bartlett and minimum variance (MV). Numerical experiments are conducted for various arrangements of obstacles and receivers. It is shown that the MFP method can be successfully used for localizing radiation sources under conditions of multiple reflections.
