摘要

The design of a platform of soils is fundamental to give support not only for information search but also to project management in soil science. The MultiSoils platform represents a digital space where users can access the following functionalities: (1) Interactive query (via app and web) to a legacy database of soils from different soil surveys and studies; (2) Create and manage soil survey and mapping projects; (3) Insert soil observation data in the field (profiles and boreholes) through mobile devices (smartphones and tablets) using IOS and Android platform (app MultiSoils); (4) Create and manage projects in different areas (digital agriculture, rural extension, education in soil science, carbon stock inventory, as well as assessing the occurrence and contamination of heavy metals, radionuclides, and hydrocarbons in soil); (5) Monitor the progress of the projects and the performance of field activities; (6) Generation of soil description reports, download and upload of data. The platform’s soil data can be used to develop research and academic projects and support the decision-making process. The data can be accessed through the system’s API for local processing, guaranteeing the personal data of the coordinators and participants of the projects registered on the platform. The field app is available on Android and iOS platforms and can be downloaded for free. The system is continuously improving, other modules are being developed, and we are open to cooperative interaction with national and international researchers and institutions. The platform can be widely used to support the Pronasolos program.
