Design of a Fully Electric Scaled Vehicle Model with 4 Independent Motors
摘要
Scaled vehicles provide cost-effective solutions for studying vehicle behaviour and designing and experimentally testing advanced vehicle dynamics controllers. This work presents the design and development of a fully electric scaled vehicle model featuring four independent in-wheel motors. The research and component selection processes are discussed, as well as the suspension system redesign to accommodate the motors and the chosen motor controller. The findings presented in this paper will form the basis for future vehicle characterisation and subsequent testing by means of torque vectoring and drifting manoeuvres.
