A Comparison Between Different Hybrid Electric Propulsion System Configurations by Means of Vibrational Analysis and Fuel Consumption
摘要
In this paper, an electric hybrid propulsion system, consisting of an internal combustion engine and an electric machine, for aeronautical applications, was studied, considering both vibrational characteristics and fuel consumption. Vibrational signals were analyzed in both time and frequency domains, revealing that hybrid configurations, at the same operating point compared to the configuration with only internal combustion engine, led to a reduction in vibration amplitudes. However, when analyzing the internal combustion engine fuel consumption, this result was not replicated for both configurations.
