Using High-Resolution Imaging to Investigate Cell Migration In Vitro

  • Michelle Peckham

摘要

A wide array of fluorescence microscopy approaches is used to image cultured cells in vitro. This type of approach is widely used for imaging the behaviour of specific proteins within cells to understand their dynamic behaviour and location. Within the last 20 years, multiple different forms of fluorescent microscopies have been developed to achieve this. With the vast array of different approaches available, it can be difficult to know where to start. This chapter provides a simple introduction to high-resolution fluorescence microscopy approaches to image cells in vitro for beginners, how to choose the right approach and how to optimise your imaging.
