Spatial Capture-Recapture Models
摘要
In this chapter, we will introduce static spatial capture-recapture (SCR) models (Efford 2004; Borchers and Efford 2008; Royle and Young 2008) and their dynamic extensions (Gardner et al. 2010; Ergon and Gardner 2014; Chandler and Clark 2014). These are truly individual-based models in the sense that they consider the uniqueness of each individual, such as their spatial locations (and thus environment) and characteristics. Furthermore, dynamic SCR models allow interactions between individuals through local density-dependent processes, alongside individual habitat use, to influence demography, and eventually population size.
