Leaders and Parties: How Do They Speak Online?
摘要
Social media usage has been increasing in political debates, but its role still needs to be defined. In this work, we want to investigate the differences in language usage between leaders’ and parties’ accounts in one of the most used social media platforms nowadays, Twitter. To deal with this aim, we defined a workflow to study different aspects of their differences using the data related to the 2022 Italian political campaign. Using other NLP and factorial approaches, this work aims to depict the overall online debate for this specific case, highlighting peculiar features for the type of account and political belonging.
