Success in Implant-Retained Overdenture (IROD) and Implant-Supported Overdenture (ISOD)

Although the success in implant-retained and implant-supported overdentures depends on many factors, long-term or short-term complications related to the implants, abutments, surrounding tissues, and prosthesis can be observed. In the seventh chapter of this book, implant- and attachment-type complications and frequencies, soft tissue complications around the implants and under the prosthesis, and biological and technical complications in implant-retained and implant-supported overdentures were discussed by reviewing many clinical studies based on implant-retained prosthesis.
