Implant Overdenture Fabrication with Different Attachments

After the osseointegration stage is completed depending on the type of implant used and bone density, the implants are ready for starting the denture procedures. Overdenture prostheses should be finished and delivered to the patient by paying attention to the different construction stages of different types of attachments. In the fifth chapter of this book, IOD (implant overdenture) fabrication stages of prefabricated, individual, and CAD (computer-aided design)/CAM (computer-aided manufacturing) bar attachments, ball attachments, locator attachments, equator attachments, and Novaloc and telescopic attachments were discussed in details.
