Energy-Entropy Approach in the Study of a Class of Natural and Technical Systems in the Use of Water Resources
摘要
The purpose of the study is to assess the relationship between the concepts of Entropy and Energy in in the class of natural engineering systems under consideration. The inherent relationship of the term Entropy in the concept of Energy is figuratively conditioned by the fact that if the queen of the world—Energy was freed from her shadow—entropy, the world would supposedly avoid “heat death”, but another misfortune would inevitably overtake it—it would turn into a mechanism doomed to eternal repetition of the same movements, and each the day of life would be an exact repetition of the previous day. Entropy saves us from such a fate. Such is its twofold essence and as dialectically contradictory as the whole surrounding world, in which death is an essential condition for the renewal of life. The presence of entropy, on the one hand, threatens heat death, and on the other hand, is a source of the birth of a new one and stimulates the processes of biological activity at all hierarchical levels of the biosphere of our planet, the concept of entropy causes not only chaotic movements of heated water molecules, gas, it also includes gene mutations that create new biological species among plants and animals. If these processes are deprived of the entropy contained in them, they will not generate anything unexpected, new. This important conclusion can be extended to the whole surrounding world and, in particular, to river basin geosystems as elementary parts of the Earth’s biosphere (W biosph = 10 10 km3).
