The Use of Renewable Energy of Sea Waves for Desalination of Seawater

This article discusses an innovative technology for desalination of seawater using renewable energy from ocean waves. This technology can replace traditional energy-intensive equipment for desalination of water by reverse osmosis and has prospects for use in the coastal areas of the Black and Japanese Seas. The main advantage of this technology is the use of renewable energy from ocean waves. This makes it possible to significantly reduce the cost of producing fresh water and reduce the environmental burden. A technical solution has been developed for the use of low-potential renewable energy of sea waves for desalination of seawater. The purpose of this work is a feasibility study of the application of innovative technology for desalination of seawater using renewable energy from sea waves to provide clean fresh water for non-residential facilities (beach glamping). To achieve this goal, mathematical analysis methods were used using statistical data and long-term observations from domestic and foreign sources with analysis and comparison of the data contained. The technology of desalination of seawater using renewable energy from ocean waves pays off within two years, which makes it economically profitable. In addition, it can be used in various climatic conditions and does not require high maintenance costs.
