摘要

Activated carbon is widely used in water treatment and purification due to its ability to remove water pollutants in this study, the researchers focused on the production of granular activated carbon from tamarind fruit peel. The carbon was prepared by steam activation, and its structural-adsorption and absorption properties were examined. The information related to the production of granular activated carbon from tamarind fruit peel and its structural-adsorption and absorption properties are reflected. The results of a comparative assessment of the efficiency of purification from organic impurities according to the criterion of total organic carbon of multicomponent wastewater from the territory of the coke oven and by-product production of “Moskok” under dynamic conditions using the above-mentioned activated carbon and commercial adsorbent of Russian production of the BAC brand are presented and discussed. In conclusion, these abstract highlights the production of granular activated carbon from tamarind fruit peel and its application in the purification of wastewater. The comparative assessment presented in the study provides insights into the efficiency of different adsorbents in removing organic impurities from multicomponent wastewater. Furthermore, the potential of activated carbon derived from tamarind fruit peel for the removal of specific contaminants has been explored in other studies.
