The Possibility of Assessing the Pinery State Under Technogenic Pollution by NIR Spectroscopy and Soft Independent Modelling of Class Analogy

This paper presents the results of the comparative analysis of the near-infrared spectra of pine needles of the current year, as well as pine needles of 1–3 years of life from territories experiencing different degrees of manmade load. Principal component analysis and soft independent modelling of class analogy were applied to evaluate spectral data. The potential possibility of using the NIR spectroscopy method to assess the impact of technogenic pollution on the stability of the pinery development has been proved by experiments. To differentiate the studied samples of needles, classification SIMCA models were developed, while the maximum classification accuracy was revealed for needles of the 2nd year of life: it was 93.11 ± 2.22% for the training sample, 92.27 ± 1.72% for the test sample.
