The Fishes from the Maar of Senèze

The late Villafranchianlate Villafranchian, see villafranchian, late fish fauna from the maarMaar of Senèze (Haute-Loire, France) is restricted to only two species. The first is a tench, Tincasp. sp., the incomplete skeleton of which was found in the core of the research drilling carried out in 1965. The second is the recent perch, Perca fluviatilis[aut]Perca fluviatilis. It is represented by one incomplete skeleton, a disarticulated head, and isolated remains (incomplete dentary, abdominal vertebra and scales) found during the recent excavations.
