摘要

Ideally, contact tracing would be done for all virus cases and we would be able to use the results to build a network on which different mediation strategies could be simulated. Unfortunately, for the COVID-19 pandemic (and many other infectious diseases), this did not happen. Some contact tracing was done, both electronically and using the old-fashioned in-person method, but privacy concerns prevented even this from being available to researchers. So, in order to develop and test our mediation strategies, we need plausible contact networks. We create these from the case data using an evolutionary algorithm.
