Improvement of Non-Conformance Information Reporting System in Construction Projects Using Prototype Design Methodology

The deviation in the requirements, scope, quality, procedure and other related activities and deliverables in the construction is defined as a non-conformance report (NCR). The NCRs are considered as a form of waste time, resources, and manpower, and reflect negatively on the image of the organization. The increasing number of NCRs in the construction activities and the lead time of closing and performing corrective actions took several days or even more than a week. This prompted the researchers to design the mobile application. The developer of the mobile application uses system analysis and design by prototyping through Figma User-Interface (UI) application. The researchers performed the Unified Modelling Language (UML) Use Case Diagram and Swimlane Diagram in dissecting the necessary information of the User-Interface (UI). The mobile application will streamline the closing out of the NCRs by a day and improve the key performance indicators of the project. Therefore, contributing to the effectiveness and efficiency to the project deliverables.
