While there are some alternatives to this process, most are heavily reliant on 2D sketch design. Therefore, it is essential for 3D designers to possess this skill. This chapter aims to present the tools available in a widely used CAD software (Fusion 360) and provide relevant data, examples, and advice on the limitations of each 2D sketch operation when applied to the design of objects for 3D printing. The chapter concludes with examples for the reader to practice their 2D design skills.
