Ageing and Migration in Italy: A Partial Least Squares Path Model Analysis of Demographic Behaviours
摘要
Italy’s demographic landscape has undergone significant shifts since the early 2000s, leading to an ageing population and notable territorial disparities, prompting scholarly interest. Amidst rising ageing concerns, low fertility rates and migration patterns emerge as critical factors affecting population dynamics. This study aims to explore the multifaceted nature of fertility variations within the Italian population, considering various determinants beyond those of birth rates. Anticipated outcomes include the development of a composite indicator to succinctly capture the intricate societal and population changes transpiring across Italy. This research seeks to provide insights into Italy’s demographic trajectory and offer potential avenues for addressing its demographic challenges.
