This study aims to explore the multifaceted nature of fertility variations within the Italian population, considering various determinants beyond those of birth rates. Anticipated outcomes include the development of a composite indicator to succinctly capture the intricate societal and population changes transpiring across Italy. This research seeks to provide insights into Italy’s demographic trajectory and offer potential avenues for addressing its demographic challenges.
