Power Plant Planning of Off-Grid Solar Electricity System for Goods Elevator Installation

摘要

In planning and estimating the power requirements of goods elevators that are operated through resources from the off-grid solar power plant system to reduce conventional electricity consumption, it is hoped that in the future all electricity use will switch to new renewable energy (EBT). This needs planning is carried out to answer the need for power exchange which originally came from electricity supply through state electricity company to supply new renewable energy (EBT) which will be sourced from solar power plants (PLTS) with an off-grid system, namely the power source is directly connected to the load. In this paper, the author uses a software, namely PVSyst so that it can be seen how much requirements in regard to photovoltaic (PV) installation, batteries, etc., are required. Based on the proposed 4.5 kW power, PT Galva requires 18 solar panel modules with a capacity of 525 Wp with an installation area of 46.5 m2, power storage of 60 batteries with a capacity of 180 Ah with a voltage of 25.6 V, one unit of solar charge controller (SCC) with a capacity of 100A, and one inverter units with a capacity of 10 kW. This PLTS is capable of producing electrical energy of 11,653 kWh/year and the use of energy that can be used is 9813 kWh/year. The performance ratio in this study was 68.7%, the total energy losses were 176.9 kWh, and the total initial investment cost was Rp. 434,462,000. With a payback period of 8.5 years in a span of 25 years, the return of investment (ROI) value is 294.1%. The net present value (NPV) is positive, which is Rp. 1,277,953,837. Hence, this PLTS design research can be said to be feasible.
