Scouting Beyond the Horizon
摘要
This chapter will illustrate how humans affect the Baltic Sea, one of the world's most studied sea areas with many climate and environmental problems. The many human impacts are divided into naturally occurring factors that humans influence (e.g., climate change) and factors linked to human activities (e.g., fishing). A large mixture of human impacts threatens the Baltic Sea and many coastal seas. Many of them are connected, and today, there is a concern that we need to understand more about how these factors work together and amplify or counteract the impact on the sea.
