摘要

In the face of great human challenges, more and more people understand that examining the connection between nature and human behavior is necessary, especially what controls destructive behavior and how it can be changed. Here, we investigate the processes that may support progress and related anti-goals that lead to societal deterioration. The Greek myth of Pandora's Box illustrates destruction, which is then reflected in light of the UN Agenda 2030 for sustainable development. The latter can represent humans’ hope that Pandora was missing when examining her box. Cooperation and listening to each other can instead generate a Box of Opportunities that gives us a flow of curiosity, vision, courage, hope, presence, simplicity, inspiration, and hope for the future.
