The Need for More Advanced Diagnostic Equipment
摘要
The iris’s unique properties make it a challenging subject for standard Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) systems which is used for other ocular tissues. Developing advanced OCT technologies that can accommodate the structural and compositional complexities of the iris is crucial for improving diagnostic capabilities and treatment of iris-related diseases. These advancements would not only enhance our understanding of iris pathologies but also bolster the application of OCT in personalized medical assessments and treatments. Iris OCT will have a major role in evaluating and follow up of the different modalities for example, iris prosthesis, iris implants and other recently popular color modification tools like iris laser Ablation and Keratopigmentation, which have been discussed in the previous chapters of this book.
