Energy Efficiency Policies in Power Sector
摘要
Power sector related energy efficiency policies have two main concerns: production (plant efficiency) and consumption (end-use efficiency). As the utilities have direct contact with the consumers and knowledge of the consumers’ needs in relation to electricity production and distribution, they can utilize this knowledge to develop pricing policies and incentive programs. Such programs can help maintain the balance between demand and supply on a temporal basis (hourly, daily, etc.). This chapter includes information about various types of energy efficiency policies used in power sector. These policies include: Regulations and Plans, Codes and Standards, Incentives and Technical Assistance.
