Transport sector has a very low penetration of renewables. Considering that the primary fuels used in transportation sector are based on fossil fuels and they cause significant amount of greenhouse gas emissions, it is important to find ways of lowering down those emissions. Electrification of transportation sector can be the key in accomplishing that task. Therefore, many RE policies focus on electric vehicles. However, the policies are not only concerned with electric vehicles. This chapter focuses on different types of RE policies adopted in transportation sector.
