BetweenIacobaccio, Marilena the end of the nineteenth centurySgro, Valentina and the beginning of the twentieth century, women’s working conditions in Italy, as well as in the rest of Europe, became the subject of public debate. In the years immediately following Italian unification in 1861, the member of parliament Salvatore MorelliMorelli, Salvatore engaged in the fight for equality between men and women, both in the workplace and in social rights.
