摘要

This chapter meticulously explores technical innovations for optimizing early erectile function post-radical prostatectomy (RP), recognizing its profound impact on patients’ quality of life. Emphasizing meticulous preoperative planning based on patient-specific factors, it discusses advanced imaging techniques such as MRI with 3D models and diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) for surgical precision. Intraoperative strategies, such as modified apical dissection and innovative approaches such as the Veil of Aphrodite, aim at minimizing neurovascular bundle injuries, enhancing postoperative potency rates. The debate between retrograde and antegrade release, energy usage considerations, and emerging techniques such as Menon precision prostatectomy (MPP) and laser applications underscores the quest for improved postoperative quality of life. This collaborative effort reflects the relentless pursuit of pioneering advancements, aiming to redefine the standard of care and enhance the RP experience for prostate cancer patients.
