Sustainable Land Asset Utilization

Sustainability is taking the center stage with every technological innovation that is being served to the global markets, along with its rapid growth in population, livelihood and consumption calls for land administration systems that empowers key users in basing out decisions on the latest data and monitor the progress that puts forward value impact in strategies and plans. Keeping this in the backdrop against the theme “Space and geospatial technologies for the Africa we want” in this paper the geospatial application in Land Administration by Vassar Labs has been cited. The usage of remote sensing, AI/ML and other disruptive technologies to build a framework for smarter governance in the context of land management as well as step-up the processes of planning and monitoring has been elaborated, with a focus to foster digital cohesivity for the future that aligns with the sustainable development goals.
