Conclusions

This chapter summarises what the book outlines, offers some ideas for future research, and offers some final thoughts, reflecting on the tension that cultural work is held in between its positives and negatives and arguing that the UK publishing industry and writers themselves need to reconsider the ways that writing-as-work is imagined and discussed.
