Mathematical Economics and Game Theory

In this section, we discuss some economic and game theoretic models. In Sect. 8.1, we deal with exchange economies and introduce the notions of core (Edgeworth) equilibrium and of competitive (Walras) equilibrium. In a setting of perfect competition (Aumann’s model), we show the equivalence of these notions and also prove the existence of a competitive equilibrium.
