The proliferation of connected mobile devices and the increasing demand for intelligent capabilities have led to a significant surge in wireless data traffic. This trend poses new challenges for communication systems, such as facilitating diverse intelligent tasks, utilizing limited frequency resources, and handling massive volumes of data. Semantic communication, which selectively transmits relevant information, holds great promise in addressing these challenges by significantly reducing the required transmission resources.
