Counterrevolution. Theoretical Foundations

This chapter delivers a short overview of existing theories and definitions of the counterrevolution. It discovers that almost no attention has been paid both to conceptualisation and definition of the phenomenon and the only group interested in dealing with it were the Marxists. They were not, however, free from ideological bias. In the end there is a proposed definition of counterrevolution applied in the further work, as well as an initial attempt of categorisation of three types of counterrevolution: preventive, immediate, and postponed.
