Revolution. Theoretical Foundations
摘要
This chapter presents an overview of existing theories of revolution and their development over time. It argues that modern research theories were developed by sociology which structuralised them into three or four generations. The further part of the chapter brings different definitions of the phenomenon applied by various scholars. At the end it proposes a definition that serves as a reference point in the subsequent analysis.
