摘要

Sustainable maintenance contributes to reducing costs, avoiding workplace accidents, and minimizing the environmental impacts associated with the operation of equipment and energy consumption. In this sense, lean maintenance meets the objectives of efficiency and economy and, recently, that of stakeholder satisfaction and resilience, starting points of maintenance focused on sustainability. However, environmental challenges motivate companies to broaden the horizon of these objectives and realign the process throughout their value chain, complementing these paradigms towards the integration and synchronization of lean and green practices as a system to achieve improvement. of sustainable maintenance. The research presents the possibility of using both paradigms to contribute to the sustainability of this process. To do this, qualitative and quantitative research methods were used to analyze the results obtained from the case study of a plastics processing factory. The main results were the identification of the factors that influence the effectiveness of maintenance, the activities that do not add value and negatively impact the environment, thus increasing the availability of the machines and the determination of the activities that must be implemented to improve it.
