Cluster Innovation: A Bibliographic and Bibliometric Review in SMEs

The following article aims to explore the concept of cluster innovation in small and medium businesses (SMEs). For this, a bibliographical review was carried out, the results indicate that this field of study is oriented to the relationship between the adoption of cluster innovation and the performance of small and medium-sized companies; the factors that hinder innovation; the implications for local development strategies and the opportunities it offers to improve management. Cluster innovation is a powerful tool for new SMEs to successfully enter and remain in the market over time, allowing them to take advantage of the competitive advantages of the companies with which they associate to obtain good implications in local development strategies and region.
