Evaluation of the Mechanical Response in an Electric Motorcycle Wheel

The knowledge of the mechanical behavior of the structural parts is an important aspect. In this paper, the results of the evaluation of the stress-state in the electric motorcycle rear wheel are presented. For it, the loads acting in the motorcycle are calculated. An aluminum alloy 208.0-F are proposed like the material to manufacture the wheel First, the calculation are made when the wheel are subjected by a static loads and after a pseudo dynamic load are applied to the model. The maximum stresses are minor that the yield limit of the selected material. A frequency studies are realized. For the five first vibration modes, the resonant frequencies are far of the rear wheel working frequencies, due to the resonance is neglected.
