Design and Implementation of Smart Meter for Bilateral Transaction of Solar Energy

In existing on-grid solar panel installation system, two separate meters are used for measuring solar generation and net meter readings. This strategy adds extra on the cost and increases complexity. So, to reduce the cost and complexity, an integrated meter is implemented in this paper that combines measurement of solar generation and net meter. This novel technology can measure the import and export energy efficiently and will be useful for the prosumers to monitor the solar energy production in real-time. With this method, the installation process will be simple and cost effective and adding the steps toward sustainability.
