Quantum computing is an emerging field that has implications in numerous disciplines. This chapter explores the potential applications and implications of quantum technologies in space exploration. The chapter introduces quantum computing, highlighting its fundamental principles and supremacy over classical computing in addressing the challenges of space exploration. Quantum computing is often combined with other quantum technologies in order to maximize its beneficial effects. Quantum communication holds promise for secure satellite data transmission, quantum sensors hold promise for precise navigation and Earth observation, and quantum simulation improves the capabilities of spacecraft design and testing.
