In Sect. 1.12 we identified the reference space with a fabulous instrument, called cosmic monitor, that provides a virtual view of the Universe where galaxies are fixed points and wandering particles are visible as curves parameterized by cosmic time t. We will make an extensive use of this tool in this and the next chapter.
