Proteomics has been found to be a helpful tool in understanding COVID-19 disease. It has provided important insights into the complex interactions between the SARS-CoV-2 virus and its host. Proteomics, a branch of molecular biology focused on studying proteins and their functions, has played a pivotal role in deciphering the molecular mechanisms underlying infection, pathogenesis, and immune responses associated with COVID-19. Researchers have utilized sophisticated proteomic techniques like mass spectrometry and high-throughput quantification methods to identify and characterize viral proteins, revealing insights into their functions in viral replication and pathogenicity.
