Asymptotic Estimates of the Horizontal Wind Retrieval Accuracy from Lidar Remote Sensing Data
摘要
The work is devoted to the analysis of the retrieval accuracy of the wind speed components from the measurements of a scanning Doppler lidar in the horizontal plane. Since the Doppler lidar measures the wind speed radial component, the two-dimensional horizontal wind speed vector is calculated as a solution to an inverse problem. Estimates for the maximum error in the recovering of the wind speed components were obtained in the asymptotic approximation. It is shown that the influence of the angular scanning step on the reconstruction accuracy has the second order of smallness. The estimates obtained show the geometric parameters influence of the measurement area on the accuracy of calculating the wind components.
